Abstract A new ruthenium complex series of type Ru(NBD)Cl2L (with L = 2,2′-biquinoline derivative) was prepared. Their spectroscopic properties were analysed by RMN 1H, UV–Vis and Infrared and their electrochemical potentials were obtained by cyclic voltammetry technique.
