  There are provided ergoline derivatives of the formula (I) wherein R, represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or a methyl group, R3 represents a hydrogen atom or a methoxy group, R4 represents a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; each of X and W independently represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, a chlorine atom or a methoxy group, and n is 0, 1 or 2.
