reaction that enables direct installation of a range of desired moieties into peptide and protein scaffolds via C(sp3)−C(sp3) bond formation is described. The method is rapid, operationally simple, tolerant to ambient atmosphere and can be utilized to incorporate general tools for chemical biology, including effective PTM mimics, via a stable, biogenic hydrocarbon linkage.
