Provided further herein is a highly pure cinacalcet or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof substantially free of impurities, processes for the preparation thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising highly pure cinacalcet or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof substantially free of impurities.
