  [(C7H13N2)AlCl2] (1) reacts with Ag2O in the ratio 2/1 to give the dinuclear vinamidine complex [(C7H13N2)AlCl}(2)O] (2) in good yield. The crystal structure investigation of 2 reveals the presence of a linear fragment Al-O-Al in the centrosymmetric space group P2(1)/c.
