The adducts of 3,4-epoxyprecocene II (2) with -acetylcysteine, cysteine and glutathione have been synthesized. Under the basic reaction conditions employed, the resulting products were originated from a opening of the oxirane ring with the sulfur atom linked to the C-4 benzylic position.
