The composition of the present invention, containing a compound isolated from S. takesimense as an effective ingredient, ensures safety when applied to the human body, and has an excellent skin-whitening effect owing to its excellent inhibitory activity against tyrosinase. Thus, the present composition is capable of effectively preventing and alleviating skin hyperpigmentation disorders caused by excess production of melanin.
