A catalyst for the polymerization of olefins comprising (A) a solid catalyst component essentially containing magnesium, titanium, an electron donor compound, and a halogen which is prepared by contacting a magnesium compound, a titanium halide compound, and an electron donor compound, (B) an organoaluminum compound, and (C) an organosilicon compound and a process for polymerizing an olefin using the same are disclosed, the organosilicon compound (C) being represented by formula (I):
wherein R1 and R2, which may be the same or different, each represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; and the cyclohexyl group and the cyclopentyl group may be substituted. Using the catalyst, a polyolefin having high stereoregularity and broad molecular weight distribution can be obtained in high yield.

This invention relates to a solid catalyst component for polymerizing olefins and a catalyst for polymerization of olefins. More particularly, it relates to a catalyst for polymerization of olefins with which an olefin polymer having a high stereoregularity (greatly improved crystallinity and high melting point) can be obtained in high yield.
The present invention is directed to a fuel oil for diesel engines, which is reduced in the discharges of particulate matters (PM) and carbon dioxide (CO) in exhaust gas upon combustion while retaining a high cetane number, characterized in that the fuel oil composition comprises a mineral oil as a principal component; and
(a) 2-13 wt% of one or more dialkyl phthalate compounds represented by the chemical formula (1), and
(b) 2-13 wt% of one or more glycol ether compounds represented by the chemical formula (2); and
the total content of said components (a) and (b) is from 4 to 15 wt%.
