    Curable molding compositions comprising a mixture of: I. from about 25 to about 90 weight percent of a thermosetting resin containing: (a) from about 5 to about 95 weight percent of a polyester resin derived from the reaction of a poly(acrylate) and a vinyl monomer, said poly(acrylate) and vinyl monomer essentially free from functional groups reactive with the polyol of the polyisocyanate of (b); (b) from about 95 to about 5 weight percent of a polyurethane derived from the reaction of a saturated polyol and a polyisocyanate, said polyol and polyisocyanate free from unsaturated groups capable of copolymerizing with the poly(acrylate) or vinyl monomer of (a); and II. from about 75 to about 10 weight percent of one or more fibers with a melting point or a glass transition temperature above about 130°C; wherein (b) constitutes less than 40 weight percent of (I) and (II). These compositions are especially suited to produce thermoset fiber-reinforced molded articles by rapid injection molding techniques.

    The present invention provides a polyvinyl chloride plastisol composition characterized by containing a specified epoxy resin, a blocked isocyanate and, if necessary, a latent curing agent for an epoxy resin as tackifiers. This plastisol composition is excellent in storage stability and can strongly adhere to various metals and various undercoats of metals (such as electro-deposit) by baking even at a relatively low temperature to give a coating which is free from blowing and exhibits excellent adhesion after the immersion in hot water or the heating. Therefore, the composition is useful as a body sealer or undercoat for an automotive body.

    A curable epoxy resin composition comprising (I) an epoxy resin having on average more than one epoxy group per molecule, (II) a specific Mannich base and, optionally, (IV) a specific amino compound, with the amount of the Mannich base (II) being 1 to 50 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the resin (I) and the amount of any amino compound (IV) being 5 to 200 parts by weight per 100 parts of the resin (I), is low in odor and therefore easy to handle, can be excellent in low-temperature curing characteristics, and its cured product can exhibit excellent resistances to water, chemicals and amine blushing, and have excellent physical properties. The resin can be constituted as a two-liquid type having the resin (I) separate from the base (II) and any amino compound (IV), or as a three-liquid type in which (I), (II) and (IV) are separate from one another. The curing agent comprising the Mannich base (II), both with and without the amino compound (IV), is also disclosed.
