The synthesis of the 5′-hydroxy-1,3,3-trimethylspiro[indoline-2,3′-[3H]naphtho[1,2-b][1,4]oxazine] is reported. Equilibrium in the dark between closed and open forms has been proved by NMR spectroscopy.
