A series of new 1-[4-(aminosulfonyl)phenyl]-5-oxopyrrolidine-3-carboxylic acids were synthesized by the solvent-free condensation of 4-aminobenzenesulfonamides with itaconic acid at 140–165 °C. The synthesized compounds were examined for antimicrobial activity.

(EN) A method and system for detecting solubilized compounds containing vicinal hydroxyl groups, in which a solution of interest is exposed to a dye compound whose optical properties undergo predictable change in relation to the concentration of polyhydroxyl species. The dye compound contains a functional binding moiety selected from the group consisting of boronic acid, boronate ion, arsenious acid, arsenite ion, telluric acid, tellurate ion, germanic acid and germanate ion.(FR) Procédé et système de détection de composés solubilisés contenant des groupes hydroxyle voisins, consistant à exposer une solution d'intérêt à un composé colorant dont les propriétés optiques subissent un changement prévisible par rapport à la concentration d'espèces de polyhydroxyle.
