  L'invention se rapporte à un procédé pour la fixation d'au moins un groupe choisi entre les radicaux alkyles, linéaires ou ramifiés de 1 à 12 atomes de carbone et les radicaux aralkyles et cycloalkyles dans lesquels le reste alkyle compte entre 1 et 4 atomes de carbone .et ce, par substitution, sur une châine carbonée portant un groupement fonctionnel stable et comportant au moins un proton en position a par rapport à ce groupe fonctionnel, procédé suivant lequel dans une première étape, on fait réagir cette chaîne carbonée avec une base complexe constituée par un mélange d'un amidure de métal alcalin et d'un alcoolate de métal alcalin en suspension dans un solvant organique anhydre, de manière à donner naissance transitoirement à un carbanion, puis, dans une seconde étape, on fait réagir ce carbanion dans un solvant organique anhydre avec un halogénure d'alkyle, d'aralkyle ou de cycloalkyle correspondant au substituant à fixer.

  Process for introducing a substituent selected from branched- or straight-chain alkyl radicals having from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, aralkyl or cycloalkyl radicals in which the alkyl moiety has from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, into a carbon chain bearing a stable functional group the said carbon chain having at least one proton in .alpha.-position in relation to this functional group, process whereby, in a first step, this carbon chain is reacted with a complex base comprising a mixture of alkali metal amide and alkali metal alcoholate suspended in an anhydrous organic solvent to provide temporarily a carbanion, then in a second step this carbanion is reacted in an anhydrous organic solvent with an alkyl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl halide corresponding to the substituent to be introduced.
