Two new medium bandgap, alkoxyphenyl substituted thieno[2,3-f]benzofuran (TBFPO) and alkoxyl substituted thieno[2,3-f]benzofuran (TBFP)-based polymers were designed, synthesized and applied in polymer solar cells (PSCs), namely, TBFPO-BDD and TBFO-BDD, respectively.
