    57 The filter press cake, obtained by separation of the raw Zeolite from the major portion of the mother liquor and not washed, or only partially washed, is additivated with a suitable surface-active agent, added in the amount of from 1 to 2% in weight on the weight of the wet Zeolite. The thus- fluidized Zeolite is treated in a high-turbulence zone with sulphunc acid at a concentration greater than 70%, which is added in such an amount as to produce a nearly complete neutralization of the final Zeolite.

    N-lower alkyl neoalkanamides (N-lower alkyl trialkyl­acetamides of certain types) of 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the lower alkyl thereof and of 5 to 14 carbon atoms in the neoalkanoyl (or trialkylacetyl) group, e.g., N-methyl- and N-ethyl neodecan­amides and N-methyl and N-ethyl neotridecanamides, are new compounds, secondary amides which have insect repellent properties, being especially effective against cockroaches, e.g., the German cockroach. However, they are also useful as repellents for other insects, including American cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies, fleas, ants, and lice. Additionally, they may repel arachnids, such as spiders, ticks and mites. The new neoalkanamides may be synthesized easily, as by reacting a primary lower alkyl amine with a neoalkanoyl halide, e.g. by reacting methyl amine or ethyl amine with neodecanoyl chloride. The most effective of the described amides for insect repellency are normally liquid and are sufficiently volatile to be detectable in air by insects. They may be applied directly to surfaces to be treated or they may be incorporated in detergent compositions, such as build laundry deter­gents, floor and wall cleaners, rug cleaners and shampoos, hair shampoos, and liquid and bar soaps, and have been found to be sufficiently substantive to the substrate being washed so as to impart insect repelling properties to it. They may be dissolved, dispersed or emulsified (emulsions are considered to be special cases of dispersions) in appropriate liquid media and may be applied to surfaces to be made insect repellent, as by spraying, brushing, wiping or other suitable processes, includ­ing "aerosol" spraying from pressurized containers. They have been found to be of long lasting effectiveness, with significant and measurable insect repellency being obtainable for as long as two weeks after application. The described N-lower alkyl neoalkanamides are stable during normal uses, relatively low in manufacturing cost, of high substantivities to substrates, economical to use, unobjectionable in odor to humans, and harmless to humans and animals, and to the environment.

    N-monosubstituted neoalkanamides of 11 to 14 carbon atoms wherein the substituent on the amide nitrogen is cyclic (aromatic or cycloaliphatic, such as aryl or cycloalkyl) and of at least five carbon atoms, have been discovered to be insect repellent, providing that any aromatic substituent is unsubstituted at the ortho position and that when the neoalkanoyl moiety is pivaloyl the total number of carbon atoms in the N-cyclic neoalkanamide is at least 12. Such neoalkanamides are useful as repellents against cockroaches, including American, German and Oriental cockroaches, and are also effective against mosquitoes (both Anopheles and Aedes), black flies and carpenter ants, and to some extent against deer ticks. They may be applied to areas, locations and items which are desirably to be kept free of such insects, with applications being direct or of solutions or emulsions thereof, preferably by spraying, or in detergent compositions or other products to be applied to such areas, etc. Because the described neoalkanamides are desirably substantive to surfaces and are usually in liquid state, they give long lasting repellency to such areas, etc., and tests have shown them to be sufficiently long lasting.

    The present invention relates to the field of metal detergent, especially to a metal detergent and a preparation method thereof and a lubricant oil containing the metal detergent. The metal detergent provided by the present application is sulfurized calcium alkyl phenolate, the method for preparing the metal detergent includes the following steps: a) mixing alkyl phenol, a calcium source and base oil to obtain a mixed solution; b) mixing the mixed solution, ethylene glycol and a sulfur source to carry out sulfurization reaction to obtain a sulfurization reaction solution; c) implementing carbonation reaction between the sulfurization reaction solution and CO2 to obtain a carbonation reaction solution; and d) extracting the carbonation reaction solution with a solvent, upon refining, to obtain sulfurized calcium alkyl phenolate; wherein the solvent includes solvent oil, water and oxygenous derivative of hydrocarbon. Experimental results show that the content of free alkyl phenol is below 1.5 wt% in the sulfurized calcium alkyl phenolate prepared using the preparation method provided by the present application.
