    本发明旨在提供1,1-双(4-(2-羟基乙氧基)苯基)-3,3,5-三甲基环己烷的新晶体及其制备方法。为了解决上述问题,本发明的1,1-双(4-(2-羟基乙氧基)苯基)-3,3,5-三甲基环己烷晶体的制备方法特征在于,将1,1-双(4-(2-羟基乙氧基)苯基)-3,3,5-三甲基环己烷的晶体和1,1-双(4-(2-羟基乙氧基)苯基)-3,3,5-三甲基环己烷的非晶体溶解于一个或多个溶剂中,所述溶剂选择自甲醇或甲基乙酮,然后在0℃以下的溶剂熔点以上的温度下结晶。

    A subject for the invention is to provide a method of production for stably producing a polycarbonate excellent in transparency, color tone, heat resistance, moldability, and mechanical strength and having excellent optical properties. The invention relates to a method of producing a polycarbonate from a dihydroxy compound ingredient including at least a dihydroxy compound having the structure represented by the following formula (1) in the molecule and from a carbonic acid diester, the method including mixing the dihydroxy compound having the structure represented by the following formula (1) in the molecule with the carbonic acid diester in a molten state at a temperature of from 70°C to 240°C and a pressure of from 0.06 MPa to 0.20 MPa for a period of from 0.5 hours to 30 hours and then causing a transesterification reaction to proceed at a pressure lower than 0.06 MPa to produce a polycarbonate,         [Chem. 1] -CH2-O-     (1) (provided that the structure of formula (1) in which the oxygen atom is bonded to a hydrogen atom is excluded).
