  (EN) The present invention relates to a gastrocytoprotective pharmaceutical composition containing as active agents a compound of general formula (I), wherein R means hydrogen or a C1-4alkyl group; R1 stands for: hydroxyl group; C1-4alkoxy group; or a group of general formula (A), wherein R2 means hydrogen or benzyl group; and R3 means a C1-4alkyl group; or stands for a group of general formula (B), wherein R4 means a C1-4alkyl group, and ranitidine in a weight ratio of 10:1 to 1:10 together with carriers and auxiliaries known $i(per se), and to a process for the preparation thereof. A favourable active agent of general formula (I) is e.g. methyl 4-(3-carboxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxo-(2E)-butenoate. The combination of the above active agents according to the invention exerts also an antibacterial effect (against the $i(Helicobacter pylori) strain).(FR) Composition pharmaceutique gastro-cytoprotectrice renfermant, à titre d'ingrédients actifs, un composé répondant à la formule générale (I), dans laquelle R représente hydrogène ou un groupe alkyle C1-4; R1 représente un groupe hydroxyle, un groupe alcoxy C1-4 ou un groupe répondant à la formule générale (A), dans laquelle R2 représente hydrogène ou un groupe benzyle; et R3 représente un groupe alkyle C1-4; ou représente un groupe répondant à la formule générale (B), dans laquelle R4 représente un groupe alkyle C1-4; et la ranitidine selon un rapport pondéral compris entre 10:1 et 1:10, conjointement avec des excipients et des substances auxiliaires connues en soi; et leur procédé de préparation.   [EN] There is provided a novel salicylic acid derivative of formula (I), wherein R means hydrogen or a C1-4alkyl group; R<1> stands for hydroxy; a C1-4alkoxy group; or a group of formula (A), wherein R<2> means hydrogen or benzyl group; and R<3> stands for a C1-4alkyl group; or a group of formula (B), wherein R<4> means a C1-4alkyl group, as well as a salt thereof formed with a H2 receptor antagonist, preferably with Cimetidine or Famotidine; and a pharmaceutical composition containing said compound. A process for the preparation of the above compounds and compositions is also described. The compounds of formula (I) and their salts with Famotidine or Cimetidine possess significant gastric acid secretion inhibitory and gastrocytoprotective effects and exert also an antibacterial effect against Helicobacter pylori. Thus, they are useful for the prevention and/or healing of various ulcerous diseases of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum in a mammal including man.
  [FR] Nouveau dérivé d'acide salicylique répondant à la formule (I), dans laquelle R représente hydrogène ou un groupe alkyle C1-4; R1 représente hydroxy, un groupe alcoxy C1-4, ou un groupe répondant à la formule (A), dans laquelle R2 représente hydrogène un un groupe benzyle; et R3 représente un groupe alkyle C1-4 ou un groupe répondant à la formule (B), dans laquelle R4 représente un groupe alkyle C1-4; et son sel formé avec un antagoniste du récepteur de H2, de préférence avec Cimétidine ou Famotidine; et composition pharmaceutique contenant ledit composé. En outre, on a prévu un procédé de préparation des composés et compositions précités. Les composés de la formule (I) et leurs sels formés avec Famotidine ou Cimétidine présentent des activités importantes d'inhibition de la sécrétion d'acide gastrique et de gastro-cytoprotection, ainsi qu'une activité antibactérienne dirigée contre Helicobacter pylori. De ce fait, ils sont utilisables dans la prophylaxie et/ou le traitement de diverses maladies ulcératives de l'oesophage, de l'estomac et du duodénum chez les mammifères, notamment chez l'homme.
