  (EN) Methods of inhibiting cell proliferation in a patient suffering from such disorder comprising the use of a styryl-substituted heteroaryl compound wherein the heteroaryl group is a monocyclic ring with 1 or 2 heteroatoms, or a bicyclic ring with 1 to about 4 heteroatoms, said compound optionally substituted or polysubstituted, with the proviso that when said ring is polysubstituted, the substituents do not have a common point of attachment to said ring, and those compounds wherein no substituent on the heteroaryl group is a carboxy group or an ester group, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds.(FR) Procédés d'inhibition de la prolifération cellulaire chez un malade souffrant d'une affection de ce type. Ils consistent à utiliser un composé hétéroaryle substitué par styryle, dans lequel le groupe hétéroaryle est un noyau monocyclique à 1 ou 2 hétéroatomes, ou un noyau bicyclique possédant de 1 à environ 4 hétéroatomes, ledit composé étant éventuellement substitué ou polysubstitué, à condition que lorsque ledit cycle est polysubstitué, les substituants n'aient pas un point commun de liaison audit cycle; ainsi que des composés dans lesquels aucun substituant dans le groupe hétéroaryle n'est un groupe carboxy ou un groupe ester. On a également prévu des compositions pharmaceutiques contenant lesdits composés.
