This application relates to copolyerstercarbonate polymers which are prepared with diaryl dicarboxylic acid compounds, particularly biphenyldicarboxylic acid compound. Such copolyestercarbonate polymers show good physical properties including high glass transition temperatures and low ultraviolet radiation sensivity. The thermoplastic copolyestercarbonates can be used to prepare films or molded articles or blended with other thermoplastic resins to give thermoplastic polymer blends for molding purposes.
Provided is a liquid crystalline polymer which is obtained by copolymerizing at least one polyfunctional aromatic monomer selected from the group consisting of the compounds represented by the formulae (I), (II) and (III) below with at least one polymerizable monomer. The liquid crystalline polymer of the present invention is excellent in heat resistance, molding properties, flow properties and mechanical properties, especially it provide molded article with improved weld strength.
A nanoscale pigment particle composition includes a quinacridone pigment including at least one functional moiety, and a sterically bulky stabilizer compound including at least one functional group, wherein the functional moiety associates non-covalently with the functional group; and the presence of the associated stabilizer limits the extent of particle growth and aggregation, to afford nanoscale-sized particles.
A wholly aromatic liquid crystalline polyester resin composition comprising about 97-60 parts by weight of a wholly aromatic polyester resin (A) having melting peak determined by DSC equal to or higher than 310° C.; and about 3-40 parts by weight of a wholly aromatic polyester resin (B) having melting peak determined by DSC equal to or lower than 300° C. is provided. The novel liquid crystalline polyester resin composition of the present invention exhibits an improved melt flowability and can provide a molded article having reflow-soldering heat resistance.
