  本发明提供了一种制备2-羟甲基-2,3-二氢-噻吩[3,4-b][1,4]二噁烷-5,7-二羧酸二烷基酯的方法，可以在不进行繁琐的精制的情况下，选择性地高收率地得到该酯。在本方法中，将3,4-二羟基噻吩-2,5-二羧酸二烷基酯和二卤代丙醇在碱的存在下在极性溶剂中反应，制备2-羟甲基-2,3-二氢-噻吩[3,4-b][1,4]二噁烷-5,7-二羧酸二烷基酯。其中，3,4-二羟基噻吩-2,5-二羧酸二烷基酯的钠离子含量不超过1000 ppm，钙离子含量不超过800 ppm，且两者之和不超过2500 ppm；且使用的二卤代丙醇的量为1.3当量以上2.1当量以下。

  We report here the results of the synthesis of soluble polymers derived from 3,4- ethylenedioxythiophene. Starting from a 3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene monomer functionalized by an hydroxymethyl group, we synthesized several monomers bearing different side groups. The influence of alkyl chain length of side groups was studied in order to improve the solubility of the resulting polymer obtained by chemical oxidation. The optical properties of some chemically polymerized materials are also reported.

  dimethyl 3,4‐dihydroxythiophene‐2,5‐dicarboxylate (1), which were isomers and difficult to separate. When they were esterified with tetrathiafulvalene carried carboxylic acid group, only 3,4‐(hydroxymethyl‐ethylenedioxy)thiophene (4) could be esterified. No such selectivity was observed when the isomers were esterified by lauric acid and benzoic acid, respectively.
