Synthesis and Characterization of New Diazenecarboxamide Ligands Using a Selective Adduct Formation with B(C6F5)3
摘要:
The synthesis and structure of new N-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-2-phenyldiazenecarboxamide (L-2) and N-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-2 (perfluorophenyl) diazenecarboxamide (L-3) ligands are described. The subsequent reactions of ligands L-1, L-2 and L-3 with trispentafluorophenylboron gave rise to new adducts (A(1)), (A(2)) and (A(3)), where B(C6F5)(3) is coordinated to the carbonyl group. New ligands and adducts are characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), infrared (IR), and elemental analysis techniques. The crystal structures of all compounds are obtained and described.
A reduction of organic solvents in the organic chemical industry is of serious importance for sustainable chemistry. With this viewpoint, we successfully established the useful dehydrogenation of hydrazo compounds using basic alumina or KF/alumina under solvent-free conditions to afford azo compounds in good to excellent yields.

Azo compounds (RN = NR′) are an important class of organic molecules that find wide application in organic synthesis. Herein, we report an efficient, practical and metal-free oxidation of hydrazines (RNH-NHR’) to azo compounds using 5 mol% HBr and hydrogen peroxide as terminal oxidant. This new method has been demonstrated by 40 examples with excellent yields. In addition, we showcased two examples
