Provided are a fluorescent dye and a preparation process and use thereof. The fluorescent dye is able to emit a long wavelength, is sensitive and specific to viscosity, and is used for a wide range of purposes, such as viscosity testing, fluorescent labeling, quantification or detection of proteins, enzymes or nucleic acids. In addition, it can be used as a fluorescent-activated probe.

The Lewisacid-catalyzedconjugateaddition of 2-alkylazaarenes to methylenemalononitriles through sp3 CH bond functionalization has been developed, which provides an efficient and reliable method for incorporation of the nitrile group into the heterocycles.
Knöevenagelreactions of aldehydes and ketones with malononitrile, isopropyl cyanoacetate and diisopropyl malonate catalyzed by Ti(O-i-Pr)4 proceeded smoothly in i-PrOH to give the corresponding reaction products in good to high yield. 3-Substituted coumarins were prepared by the present method.
