To provide a photochromic composition which functions as an adhesive layer for bonding two optical sheets that are formed of a polycarbonate resin or the like, so that a laminate that is obtained by bonding two optical sheets with the composition being sandwiched therebetween has excellent adhesion, heat resistance and photochromic properties. In particular, to provide a photochromic composition which is capable of forming an adhesive layer that is not decreased in the adhesion between the optical sheets even in cases where the adhesive layer is in contact with hot water. Provided is a photochromic composition which contains a urethane polymer having a polymerizable group (component A) and a photochromic compound (component B).

To provide an adhesive composition capable of firmly bonding polymer sheets together, comprising:
(I) 100 parts by mass of an end-unreactive urethane urea resin; and
(III) 4.0 to 20 parts by mass of a polyisocyanate compound having at least two isocyanate groups in the molecule, wherein the polyisocyanate compound (III) contains (IIIA) a polyisocyanate compound having an isocyanate group bonded to secondary carbon and (IIIB) a polyisocyanate compound having 4 to 30 carbon atoms in the molecule other than the component (IIIA), and the amount of the component (IIIB) is 10 to 500 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the component (IIIA).
The invention relates to a polyurethane polymer-based aqueous dispersion and a method for preparing the same, a composition comprising the aqueous dispersion, use of the composition, and a coated article. The aqueous dispersion comprises a polyurethane polymer and water, wherein the polyurethane polymer is obtained by reacting a system comprising the following components: an isocyanate compound comprising a pentamethylene diisocyanate, wherein the amount of the pentamethylene diisocyanate is not less than 25 wt.% based on that the amount of the isocyanate compound is 100 wt.%; a polymer polyol having a number average molecular weight of not less than 400 g/mol, wherein the polymer polyol comprises a carbon dioxide-derived polyether carbonate polyol, the amount of which is not less than 40 wt.% based on that the amount of the polymer polyol is 100 wt.%; an amino compound having an amino functionality of greater than 1; and a compound comprising at least one isocyanate-reactive group and at least one ionic or potentially ionic hydrophilic group.

The invention relates to a polyisocyanate mixture comprising a polyisocyanate component A) having aliphatically and/or cycloaliphatically bonded isocyanate groups and a polyisocyanate component B) having araliphatically and/or aromatically bonded isocyanate groups, characterized in that the polyisocyanate component A) comprises at least 0.85% by weight of sulfonate groups (calculated as SO3; molar weight = 80 g/mol) in chemically bonded form and the proportion of the polyisocyanate component B) is 7 to 43% by weight of the total amount of the components A) and B). The invention further relates to the use thereof and also coating compositions comprising the polyisocyanate mixture and also the substrates coated with these coating compositions.

This primer composition for optical articles is characterized by containing (A) a urethane prepolymer which is a reaction product of an aromatic polyisocyanate compound and a polyol compound, and which has a reactive group at an end, said reactive group being selected from among an isocyanate group and a hydroxyl group, (B) a light absorbing compound which has a maximum absorption wavelength within the range of from 320 nm to 650 nm (inclusive) and (C) an organic solvent which has a solubility parameter of 8 (cal/cm3)1/2 or more, while containing no active hydrogen.
