  双（双齿）席夫碱N，N'-双（6-烷基-2-吡啶基亚甲基）乙烷-1,2-二胺（其中烷基= H，Me，iPr）（L）与四（乙腈）的反应六氟磷酸铜（I）和六氟磷酸银（I）分别提供双链双核金属螺旋结构[T-4-（R，R）]-（+/-）-[M2L2]（PF6）2（M = Cu，Ag）。通过1H和13C NMR光谱，电导率，微分析和对所选化合物的单晶X射线结构测定来表征螺旋结构。通过1 H NMR光谱研究了配合物的分子间配体交换和分子内转化率。两个不同取代的螺旋结构之间的可逆分子间配体交换遵循一级动力学。双铜（I）螺旋的配体交换的速率常数（k）和相应的半衰期（t（1/2））为k =（1.6-1.8）x 10（-6）s（-1）（t （1/2）= 110-120 h）在丙酮-d6中，k = 4.9 x 10（-6）s（-1）（t（1/2）= 40 h）在二氯甲烷-d2中，并且k> 2 x 10（-3）s

  The synthesis of two diamagnetic dinuclear complexes [NiII2(L˙˙)2] (1) and [ZnII2(L)Cl4] (2) and an octahedral, paramagnetic, mononuclear complex [FeII(L)Cl2] (3) (S = 2) is reported; the tetradentate ligand N,N′-bis(6-methyl-2-pyridylmethylene)ethane-1,2-diamine, L, is shown to be redox noninnocent. It exists in its neutral closed-shell form L in 2 and 3 and in its dianionic diradical form, (L˙˙)2−, in 1.
