-methylphosphinic, and-phenylphosphinic acids do not exhibit comparable antifungal activity to that shown by α-aminopropanephosphonic acid (ampropylfos) against Drechslera teres, when applied as seed dressings. It is concluded that the phosphonic acid function is necessary for this type of activity.
