  Oxidation of 4-chlorobutanol-1, cyclopropylcarbinols, and m-phenoxybenzyl alcohol with electrogenerated bromine, molecular bromine, and sodium hypochlorite using N-oxopiperidinium salt in the two-phase system CH2Cl2-water gave the corresponding carbonyl compounds with good yields.
