    【課題】水中に含まれる微量の金属イオン等の影響を過度に受けることなく、水の酸化力および抗酸化力を正確に評価できる方法を提供する。【解決手段】水の酸化力を評価する方法であって、当該水と、1−ヒドロキシ−2,2,5,5−テトラメチル−3−イミダゾリン−3−オキシド(HTIO)とを含有する試料について電子スピン共鳴測定を行ない、得られた電子スピン共鳴スペクトルにおける、HTIO由来のラジカルのシグナルと、内部標準マーカーであるマンガンのシグナルとの強度比を算出する、酸化力の評価方法。および、水の抗酸化力を評価する方法であって、さらに酸化剤を含有する試料について電子スピン共鳴測定を行ない、上記シグナル強度比を算出する、抗酸化力の評価方法。【選択図】図1
