one isomer only (Ph trans to CO) of [Pt(C5H5)Ph(CO)L]. These mixed diorganoplatinum complexes react with HgCl2 or cis-[PtCl2(CO)L] in chloroform to transfer specifically the organic group trans to L(C5H5) to Hg or Pt, respectively. The reaction between [PtCl(C5H5)(CO)L] (C5H5 trans to L) and Hg(CCMe)2 is complicated, producing initially both [Pt(C5H5)-(CCMe)(CO)L] and [PtCl(CCMe)(CO)L], but finally
