    N-Mono- and NN-disubstituted fluoracetamides have been tested as potential larvicides, contact insecticides and rodenticides. All monosubstituted amides were toxic to larvae of Musca vicina Macq. at a concentration of 100 p.p.m. Disubstituted amides were inactive or only slightly active. Only the amides monosubstituted by relatively small aryl radicals (phenyl, p-tolyl, p-fluorophenyl and p-chlorophenyl)

    The present invention relates to the 3-arylquinazolin-4-one compounds of the formula (I) and the salts thereof, formula (I) wherein n is O, 1 or 2; X is O, S or N-R4; Y1 is N or CH; Y2 is N or C-R5; R1 is C1-C10-alkyl, C1-C10-haloalkyl, C2-C10-alkenyl, C2-C10-haloalkenyl, C2-C10-alkynyl, C2-C10-haloalkynyl, C3-C12-cycloalkyl, C5-C12-cycloalkenyl, C3-C12-cycloalkyl-C1-C4-alkyl, C5-C12-cycloalkenyl-C1-C4-alkyl, where the cycloalkyl radical and the cycloalkenyl radical in the last four mentioned radicals are unsubstituted, partially or fully halogenated and/or carry 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 C1-C4-alkyl radicals; R2 is hydrogen, halogen, CN, C(Z)NH2, C1-C4-alkyl or C1-C4-haloalkyl, wherein Z is O, S or NR6; and the variables k, R, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are as defined in the claims. The invention also relates to the use of novel compounds of formula (I) for combating invertebrate pests and to a method for controlling invertebrate pests. The invention also relates to a plant propagation material and to an agricultural composition comprising a 3-arylquinazolin-4-one compound of formula (I).

    Pesticidal active mixtures comprising arylquinazolinone compounds The present invention relates to pesticidal mixtures comprising as active compounds 1) at least one pesticidal active 3-arylquinazolin-4-one compound I of formula (I) wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, k and n are defined in the description; and 2) at least one active compound II selected from a group M comprising acteylcholine esterase inhibitors, GABA-gated chloride channel antagonists, sodium channel modulators, nicotinic acteylcholine receptor agonists/antagonists, allosteric nicotinic acetylcholine receptor activitaors, chloride channel activators, juvenile hormone mimics, homopteran feeding blockers, mit grow inhibitors, inhibitors of mitochondrial bATP synthase, uncouplers of the oxidative phosphorylation, inhibitors of the chitin biosynthesis, moulting disruptors, ecdyson receptor agonists, octamin receptor agonists, inhibitors of the MET, voltage-dependent sodium channel blockers, inhibitors of the lipid synthesis, ryanodine receptor modulators and other compounds as defined in the description, in synergistically effective amounts. The invention relates further to methods and use of these mixtures for combating and controlling insects, arachnids or nematodes in and on plants, and for protecting such plants being infested with pests, especially also for protecting plant proparagation material, such as seeds.
