Highly regioselective hydroselenation and double-bond isomerization of terminal alkynes with benzeneselenol catalyzed by bis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) dichloride
Bis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) dichloride (PdCl2(PPh3)2) catalyzesregioselective addition of benzeneselenol to terminal alkynes and the subsequent double-bond isomerization to afford the corresponding internal alkenyl selenides in good yields.

Monoselenoacetals can be synthesized from the reaction of acetals with diisobutylaluminium benzeneselenolate (i-Bu2AlSePh) under mild conditions in good yields. Diselenoacetals are also obtained by treating acetals with large excess amount of i-Bu2AlSePh.

Reported is the stereospecific cross‐coupling of anomeric stannanes with symmetrical diselenides, resulting in the synthesis of selenoglycosides with exclusive anomeric control. The reaction proceeds without the need for directing groups and is compatible with free hydroxy groups as demonstrated in the preparation of glycoconjugates derived from mono‐, di‐, and trisaccharides and peptides (35 examples)

a broad range of biological activities and versatile transformational abilities. In this study, a novel and mild method was developed for the facile synthesis of asymmetric selenides under metal-free conditions. The key features of this reaction include good functional-group tolerance, the use of readily available reagents and cheap, low-toxicity solvent, and amenability to gram-scale synthesis. The
1-Alkoxyalkyl radicals [R1R2(OR3)C·], which were generated from 1-alkoxy-1-(phenylseleno)alkanes [R1R2C(OR3)SePh] and n-Bu3SnH in the precence of AIBN, participate effectively in intermolecular add...
