    Several aryl-containing ammonium sulfonates have been prepared either by cationic metathesis from the corresponding lithium sulfonates or from the corresponding sulfonic acids. The latter have been obtained by elution of an Amberlite resin with alcoholic solutions of the lithium sulfonates. These ammonium sulfonates exhibit interesting conductivities and thermal properties which allow them to be promising candidates as electrolytes for electricity storage. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V.     (EN) The invention relates to aromatic sulfonates, the preparation thereof, and the use of the same as the salt of an electrolyte. The sulfonates have the formula [Ar-Z- (CF2)nCFRf-SO3-] p Mp+ (I), wherein Z is a sulfide, sulfinyl or sulfonyl group, L is a - (CF2) n-CFRf- group, n is 0 or 1, Rf is F or a perfluoroalkyl group, Ar is an aromatic grouping, M is H, an alkaline metal cation, an alkaline earth metal cation, a trivalent or tetravalent metal cation, or an organic cation. According to said method, a sulfinate (III) is prepared, the sulfinate (III) is transformed into sulfonyl fluoride (II) by reaction with a fluorination agent, and the sulfonyl (II) fluoride is then transformed into sulfonate (I) by reaction with a hydroxide.(FR) L'invention concerne des sulfonates aromatiques, leur préparation, leur utilisation comme sel d'un électrolyte. Les sulfonates ont la formule [Ar-Z- (CF2) n-CFRf-SO3-] p Mp+ (I). Z est un groupe sulfure, sulfinyle, ou sulfonyle. L est un groupe - (CF2) n-CFRf-. n est 0 ou 1. Rf est F ou un groupe perf luoroalkyle. Ar est un groupement aromatique. M représente H, un cation de métal alcalin, de métal alcalino-terreux, de métal trivalent ou tétravalent, ou un cation organique. Le procédé consiste à préparer un sulfinate (III), à transformer le sulfinate (III) en fluorure de sulfonyle (II) par réaction avec un agent de fluoration, puis à transformer le fluorure de sulfonyle (II) en sulfonate (I) par réaction avec un hydroxyde.
