    A pharmaceutical composition comprising a co-crystal of an API and a co-crystal former; wherein the API has at least one functional group selected from ether, thioether, alcohol, thiol, aldehyde, ketone, thioketone, nitrate ester, phosphate ester, thiophosphate ester, ester, thioester, sulfate ester, carboxylic acid, phosphonic acid, phosphinic acid, sulfonic acid, amide, primary amine, secondary amine, ammonia, tertiary amine, sp2 amine, thiocyanate, cyanamide, oxime, nitrile diazo, organohalide, nitro, s-heterocyclic ring, thiophene, n-heterocyclic ring, pyrrole, o-heterocyclic ring, furan, epoxide, peroxide, hydroxamic acid, imidazole, pyridine and the co-crystal former has at least one functional group selected from amine, amide, pyridine, imidazole, indole, pyrrolidine, carbonyl, carboxyl, hydroxyl, phenol, sulfone, sulfonyl, mercapto and methyl thio, such that the API and co-crystal former are capable of co-crystallizing from a solution phase under crystallization conditions.

    The present invention provides an acetal resin composition comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of oxymethylene copolymers generating 500 ppm or less of formaldehyde gas when heated at 230° C for 60 minutes under nitrogen flow; (B) 0.05 to 2 parts by weight of hindered phenol type antioxidants generating 5 % by weight or less of volatile materials based on the total amount of the hindered phenol type antioxidants when heated at 230° C for 60 minutes under air flow; and (C) 0.002 to 0.3 parts by weight of ion adsorbents selected from the group consisting of (i) an ion adsorbent comprising (a) one or more oxides selected from the alkaline metal oxides and the alkaline earth metal oxides and (b) one or more trivalent metallic oxides, and (ii) an ion adsorbent represented by the general formula:         M₁ 1-x M₂ x (OH)₂ An-x/n · mH₂O   (1) wherein M₁ is one or more bivalent alkaline earth metal atoms, M₂ is a trivalent metal, An- is an anion of valence n, 0 < X ≦ 0.5, and m is a positive number. The acetal resin compositions are capable of avoiding the formation of molding deposits and the smell of formaldehyde gas during mold processing and show excellent heat stability.

    Incorporation of an odor-reducing additive selected from the group consisting of: (i) a low molecular weight primary or secondary amino compound of low volatility, containing at least one amino group and two or more carbon atoms and having a weak basicity of Pkb in the range of 2-8; (ii) succinimide; (iii) anthranilic acid; (iv) 4-amino benzonic acid, and mixtures thereof, into a polyacetal resin to reduce its formaldehyde odor. A combination of the odor-reducing additive with a weak acidic imino was found to have a synergistic effect in further reducing the formaldehyde odor.

    A polyoxymethylene resin composition, which comprises (A) 100 parts by weight of polyoxymethylene resin, (B) 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of at least one polymer selected from homopolymers of N-vinylcarboxylic acid amides and copolymers of N-vinylcarboxylic acid amides and other vinyl monomers, and (C) 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of polyalkylene glycol and its derivatives, fatty acid amides, esters of alcohols and fatty acids, and esters of alcohols and dicarboxylic acids. Such a polyoxymethylene resin composition has a small amount of released formaldehyde gas during production and molding and suppressed scorching generation and is also distinguished in the water resistance and repeated impact resistance of the resulting moldings.
