The dialkylamino propandiol mono- and di-phenylurethan hydrochlorides are localanesthetics of merit. The di-isobutylamino propandiol mono-phenylurethan hydrochloride is over six times as strong as cocaine on the rabbit9s cornea and over three times as strong as either novocaine or cocaine in an intradermal wheal.
