The silanes (CF3)2N·CH2·SiX3(X3= Me3, Cl3, or MeCl2) have been prepared by free-radical addition of the corresponding silanes to NN-bis(trifluoromethyl)vinylamine. The polymer [(CF3)2N·CH2CH2·Si·O1·5]n and cyclic and linear siloxane polymers [(CF3)2N·CH2·CH2·SiMe·O]n have been prepared and their thermal and hydrolytic stabilities compared with those of the model compounds (CF3)2N·CH2·CH2·SiMe3 and
