  Reaction of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-bis[{N-(2-diphenyl phosphino)phenyl}carboxyamidemethoxy]-calix[4]arene with [Cu(CH3CN)(4)]ClO4 and Pt(COD)Cl-2 gave two new complexes (1 and 2, respectively). Their structures were determined by X-ray analysis. Complex 1 has two seven-membered metallo-cycles and complex 2 has one five-membered metallo-cycle. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
