Phase-transfer Catalysis under Reductive Conditions: Hydroquinone Dialkyl Ethers from Quinones Hydroquinone ethers with alternant and nonalternant topology are prepared in one-pot reactions from the corresponding quinones by using sodium dithionite, sodium hydroxide, and alkylating reagents under phase-transfer conditions (Adogen 464). The use of allyl bromide leads to O- and C-allylation.
Liquid radiation curable resin compositions for additive manufacturing comprising: from about 5 to about 30 wt.% of an oxetane; a (meth)acrylate component; a cationic photoinitiator; a free-radical photoinitiator; and from about 50 to about 80 wt.% of an epoxy, which further comprises a cycloaliphatic epoxy component, and an epoxy component having an aromatic glycidyl ether group, wherein the majority of the epoxy is the cycloaliphatic epoxy component are described and claimed. Also described and claimed is a process for using the liquid radiation curable resins for additive manufacturing to create molds for dental aligners, and the three-dimensional molds made from the liquid radiation curable resins for additive manufacturing.

Matrix-filled liquid radiation curable resin compositions for additive fabrication are described and claimed. Such resins include a cationically polymerizable component that is an aliphatic epoxide, a multifunctional (meth)acrylate component, a cationic photoinitiator, a free-radical photoinitiator, and a matrix of inorganic fillers, wherein the matrix further constitutes prescribed ratios of at least one microparticle constituent and at least one nanoparticle constituent. Also described and claimed is a process for using the matrix-filled liquid radiation curable resins for additive fabrication to create three dimensional parts, and the three-dimensional parts made from the liquid radiation curable resins for additive fabrication.

Matrix-filled liquid radiation curable resin compositions for additive fabrication are described and claimed. Such resins include a cationically polymerizable component, a (meth)acrylate component, a cationic photoinitiator, a free-radical photoinitiator, and a filled matrix comprising a filled particle dispersion, wherein the filled particle dispersion constitutes prescribed ratios of at least one microparticle constituent and at least one nanoparticle constituent, and has a particle dispersion pH of greater than 5.5. Also described and claimed are three-dimensional parts made from the liquid radiation curable resins for additive fabrication.
