acetates and sodiodimethylmalonate proceeds in high yields and enantioselectivities (up to 99% ee) using a diphenylphosphinoaryl oxazoline ligand. The so-formed substitution products are transformed into enantiomerically enriched succinic acids and also into enantiomerically enriched γ-lactones.
