formed in the reaction of 2-[2-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethylmethylamino]-1,35-trimthy-1,3,5- triaza-2λ3-phosphorinane-4,6-dione (1) with hexa-fluoroacetone. Surprisingly, both thermolysis in vacuo and hydrolysis of 2 led to the phosphoryl compound 3. Compound 3 was also formed in the reaction of 1 with aqueous H2O2 or with the hydrogen peroxide/urea 1:1 adduct. Compound 3crystallizes with one molecule of H2O2
