Abstract Complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) with metformin have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, electronic, 1 H NMR and EPR spectra, and conductance measurements, in order to throw more light on their structure and geometry. Also, the formation constants of the complexes have been evaluated by potentiometric techniques. The biological activity of the complexes
