  Reaction of excess HSC6F5 with [Pd(OC6H5)(2)(R(2) NCH(2)CH(2)NR(2))] (R = Me, Et) affords either [Pd(SC6F5)(2)(Et(2)NCH(2)CH(2)NEt(2))] (1) or the unusual complex [Pd(SC6F5)(4)][Me(2)(H)NCH2CH2N(H)Me(2)] (2). The composition of the latter complex comprises a diprotonated tmeda ligand bridging over the metal center of a [Pd(SC6F5)(4)](2-) dianion in a unique way to form two intramolecular N-H ... S hydrogen bonds.
