Pincing CO2: Group 10 (Pd, Pt) silylpincercomplexes in combination with B(C6F5)3 can facilitate the efficient catalytic conversion of CO2 to methane with a tertiarysilane as the reductant under mild conditions. The reduction involves the formation of Pd and Pt formatoborate complexes.
