摘要:
An efficient synthesis of 3,4-allenyl ketones via the Pd-catalyzed decarboxylative coupling of the readily available 3-oxoalkanoates is reported. The C-C bond forming reaction occurs under mild conditions producing CO2 as the only byproduct.
SN2′ Alkylation of Cyclopropanols via Homoenolates

Reining in reactivity: Stereoselective SN2′ alkylation of cyclopropanols has been devised under the control of mixed zinc/copper reagents. This method provides convenient access to enantiopure keto homoenolates which react with electrophiles (El+) to form CC bonds. M=metal.
