                                In the reaction of bis(trimethylsilyl)carbodiimide (1) with excess PF2Cl only the monosubstituted carbodiimide 2a was obtained. The carbodiimide structure is suggested by N-15 and Si-29 NMR spectra. Two equivalents of 2a were found to react with (COD)PtCl2 (3) (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) with the displacement of COD and the formation of 4, which underwent rapid loss of trimethylchlorosilane forming the trimer 5 and the polymer 6, which was an insulator. When 6 was doped with SbF5, TTF (tetrathiafulvalene), [(C4H9)4N]+[BF4]-, [NO]+[BF4]- or [(C4H9)4N]+[PF6]-, its electrical conductivity increased by about 13 orders of magnitude.
