  The dinuclear {[(Me3Si)2N]V[mu-N(SiMe3)-Si(Me2CH2]}2 complex, containing a four-membered metallacyclic ring, has been obtained via reaction of VCl3(THF)3 with (Me3Si)2NLi. The reactivity of the metallacycle has been investigated with respect to the coordination of bases, hydrogenation, and insertion of alkynes.
