Study of CuII binuclear complexes of binucleating hexadentate ligands
摘要:
Three types of tridentate binucleating Schiff base ligands have been synthesised by condensation of 5,5'-methylenebis-salicylaldehyde with aminoalcohols, aminoacids or aminoethylpyridine. These ligands have two sets of tridentate phenolate O-, azomethine N and O-, COO- or pyridyl nitrogen coordination sites. The binuclear Cu-II complexes of these ligands have been prepared and their spectral, magnetic and electrochemical properties have been studied. On the basis of these experimental results long range spin exchange interaction between two copper centres has been indicated. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
