  The reaction of methylidynetricobalt nonacarbonyl, HCCo3(CO)9, with organogermanium hydrides, RnCl3-nGeH (n = 2, 3) in refluxing benzene solution under an atmosphere of carbon monoxide gave germyl-substituted methylidynetricobalt nonacarbonyl complexes of type RnCl3-nGeCCo3(CO)9.
