Azomethineylides are generated using either organocatalysts or metal catalysts via a ballet of decarboxylative C–N coupling choreographed by prolines. These strategies enable diastereoselective [3 + 2] cycloaddition, C–C coupling, and ring annulation, providing sustainable routes.
