    A novel pyrazole derivative and an insecticidal or miticidal composition containing the derivative as the effective ingredient are disclosed. The pyrazole derivative of the present invention has an excellent controlling effect also against harmful insects and mites exhibiting resistance to conventional insecticides and does not disturb the ecosystem since it is less toxic and less residual.

    A pyrazole derivative represented by the following formula (I): wherein R and R1 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a C1-C4 alkyl group; R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl group, a phenyl group or a benzyl group, which bonds to one of the nitrogen atoms of the pyrazole ring; R3 and R4 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl group or a phenyl group; R5 and R6 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C1-C6 alkyl group, a C3-C6 cycloalkyl group, a C1-C4 alkoxy group, a C1-C4 halogenoalkoxy group,a C1-C4 hydroxyalkoxy group, a C2-C7 alkoxyalkoxy group, a nitro group, a trifluoromethyl group, a phenyl group, a phenoxy group, a benzyloxy group, an amino group, a C1-C4 alkylamino group, a C2-C8 dialkylamino group, a cyano group, a carboxyl group, a C2-C5 alkoxycarbonyl group, a C4-C7 cycloalkoxycarbonyl group, a C3-C9 alkoxyalkoxycarbonyl group, a C2-C7 alkylaminocarbonyl group, a C3-C11 dialkylaminocarbonyl group, a piperidinocarbonyl group, a morpholinocarbonyl group, a trimethylsilyl group, a C1-C4 alkylthio group, a C1-C4 alkylsulfinyl group or a C1-C4 alkylsulfonyl group; " X represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, NHO or NR7 wherein R7 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C4 alkyl group; Y represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; m represents 1 or 2; and n represents 0 or 1, and an insecticidal or miticidal composition containing the derivative as the effective ingredient are disclosed.     Disclosed herein are pyrazole derivatives which are represented by the following formula (I): wherein R1 represents a C1-C4- alkyl group or a benzyl group; R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C4- alkyl group; X represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a C1-C4- alkyl group; R2 may combine with X to form wherein R5 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C3 alkyl group; R3 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C4- alkyl group; R4s independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C1-CS alkyl group, a C1-C4- alkoxy group, a C1-C4- alkylthio group, a trifluoromethyl group, a C1-C4- haloalkoxy group, a phenyl group, an alkyl-substituted phenyl group or wherein Y represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, R6s independently represent a hydrogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl group, a C1-C4- alkoxy group, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group or a trifluoromethyl group and n represents 1 or 2, adjacent R4s being able to combine together to form wherein R7 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; ℓ represents 0 or 1; and m represents 1, 2 or 3. The pyrazole derivatives of the formula (I) show a high activity suitable for active ingredient of insecticidal and miticidal composition as well as fungicidal composition.

    Pyrazole amide represented by the following formula (I): where R¹ represents alkyl; R² represents hydrogen atom, alkyl, cyclopropyl, alkoxy or alkylcarbonyloxy; X represents hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylcarbonyloxy group or hydroxy group; R² and X may combine together to form in which R⁹ represents hydrogen or alkyl; one of R³, R⁴ and R⁵ is hydrogen and the others represent independently hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, alkoxy­ carbonylamino, alkylthio, alkylsulfinyl, alkylsulfonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylcarbonyl, nitro, cyano, hydroxymethyl, alkoxyalkyl or alkoxyalkoxyalkyl; R³ and R⁴ may combine together to form in which R¹⁰ and R¹¹ represent independently hydrogen or alkyl; one of R⁶ and R⁷ represents hydrogen and the other represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy or halogen; Y represents oxygen, sulfur, sulfinyl, sulfonyl or carbonyl; B represents -CH- or nitrogen; R⁸ represents hydrogen or methyl and Z represents oxygen or sulfur, with the proviso that all of R³, R⁴ and R⁵ are not hydrogen atoms when Y is oxygen and B is -CH-, and an insecticidal and miticidal composition containing the pyrazole amide as an active ingredient are described.
