    The present invention provides a mixed crystal having absorption properties that are excellent for color reproducibility as a blue pigment, and including a compound represented by the following Formula (I) and a compound represented by the following Formula (II), and a colored pigment dispersion composition including the mixed crystal and a medium. In Formula (I), X represents —SO—Z, —SO 2 —Z, —SO 2 NR 1 R 2 , —SO 3 R 1 , —CONR 1 R 2 or —CO 2 R 1 ; Z, R 1 and R 2 each independently represent an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic group or the like; Y represents a monovalent substituent; M 1 represents a hydrogen atom, a metal element or the like; and a and b are integers from 0 to 16 and satisfy the relationship of 0≦a+b≦16. In Formula (II), G 1 to G 4 and Q 1 to Q 4 each independently represent a carbon atom or a nitrogen atom, and A 1 to A 4 each independently represent a group of atoms necessary for forming an aromatic ring or heterocycle with the respective G 1 to G 4 and Q 1 to Q 4 . Here, at least one ring among the four rings to be formed is a heterocycle. Each aromatic ring or heterocycle may have a substituent; M 2 represents a hydrogen atom, a metal element or the like.

    A phthalocyanine mixed crystal composed of at least two or more phthalocyanines selected from hydrogen phthalocyanine, copper phthalocyanine, titanyl phthalocyanine and vanadyl phthalocyanine is made to exist in water and/or an alcohol along with an organic solvent having a relative permittivity of 20 or less. The solution containing these components is optionally stirred and then allowed to stand as it is for a pre-determined period of time, whereupon the crystal structure of the phthalocyanine mixed crystal therein is converted. The phthalocyanine mixed crystal, of which the crystal structure has been converted, is washed with water or an alcohol, then filtered out and dried. The thus-obtained phthalocyanine photosensitive material is used to produce a photoreceptor, which can output digital signals at any time by digital inputting or analogical inputting. Therefore, the photoreceptor can be used in digital recording photography and also as a conventional analogical input photoreceptor to give high-quality images having sharp edges.

    Thin film, n-channel transistors in which the active layer is an ordered film of a substituted phthalocyanine coordination compound with a field-effect mobility greater than 10-3 cm2/Vs and a conductivity in the range of about 10-9 S/cm to about 10-7 S/cm at 20°C are disclosed. Examples of suitable substituted phthalocyanines include copper phthalocyanine, zinc phthalocyanine, hydrogen phthalocyanine, and tin phthalocyanine in which the phthalocyanine has at least one fluorine or chlorine substituent on at least one of its six-membered rings. Thin film devices made of these materials have an on/off ratio of at least about 103. It is advantageous if the device is fabricated using a process in which the substrate is heated to a temperature in the range of about 30°C to about 215°C when the film is formed thereon.

    Provided is a process for producing a polymer composite film, comprising the steps of: (a) mixing a phthalocyanine compound with a polymer or its precursor and a liquid to form a slurry and forming the slurry into a wet film on a solid substrate, wherein the polymer is preferably selected from the group consisting of polyimide, polyamide, polyoxadiazole, polybenzoxazole, polybenzobisoxazole, polythiazole, polybenzothiazole, polybenzobisthiazole, poly(p-phenylene vinylene), polybenzimidazole, polybenzobisimidazole, and combinations thereof; and (b) removing the liquid from the wet film and, in some embodiments, converting the precursor to the polymer to form the polymer composite film comprising from 0.1% to 50% by weight of the phthalocyanine compound dispersed in the polymer.
