Addressability and multimode activity of the dihydroazuleneâanthraquinone conjugate 1 are investigated by photochemical and electrochemical techniques, establishing pH-dependent redox behaviour and dihydroazuleneâvinylheptafulvene photochromism (1â2), enabling an electric current to be modulated by light-pulse-irradiation.
