Stable tertiaryenamides and enecarbamates undergo highly enantioselectiveintramolecular nucleophilic addition to aldehyde units catalyzed by chiral binol–Ti complexes under mild conditions to produce the title compounds in up to 99.5 % or greater enantiomeric excess.
